At The Shepherd’s Table, we believe no neighbor should go hungry.

That’s why we run four core programs that make it easier for people to get the food they need: a Community Kitchen serving hot meals every day, a client-choice pantry where families shop for their own groceries, a Fresh Xpress Farmers Market that brings fresh produce into the community each month, and our OrderAhead Lockers for quick, convenient food pickup. Together, these programs help thousands of neighbors get food each year.

Fresh Xpress

Every third Saturday of the month, we host a no-cost Farmers Market at The Shepherd’s Table from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. to distribute fresh fruits and vegetables.

  • Held on the third Saturday of each month

  • Distributes 10,000+ pounds of fresh produce every year

  • Ensures neighbors have access to fruits and vegetables, not just shelf-stable food

Many families cannot reliably travel to our physical location due to transportation and geographic barriers. We are expanding into the community to meet that need.

  • Beginning in March, we will launch four structured monthly mobile food distributions.

    • Through our partnership with the Lowcountry Food Bank, distributions will include fresh produce, dairy, eggs, meat, bread, shelf-stable staples, and hygiene products.

  • School Outreach

    • In April, we will engage families at Waccamaw Elementary, Socastee Elementary, and Conway Elementary Schools to share information about pantry access and our Summer Kids Pantry program.

  • Summer Pantry Program

    • During the summer, the Kids Pantry will operate every Friday.

      • Children select healthy breakfast and lunch foods, snacks, and drinks for the week.

      • Parents and caregivers access fresh produce through our open farmers market model.
